Dabuch Beach
Dabuch Beach, also known by its formal name, Accadia Beach, is the most popular surf and leisure beach for young sunbathers and athletes in Herzliya. It is just north of the city’s third break water. Volleyball and soccer games are prevalent on this beach throughout the day and night. It is also a favored spot for divers who use the Reef Diving and Surfing Club as their home base. The beach itself has no rocks and the water offers good waves for surfers. During daytime, the waters are often choppy. Dabuch Beach is filled with surfers in the early morning, sunbathers in the afternoon and volleyball players in the evening.
Dabuch Beach received its name from the Dabush Restaurant, which had been located directly on the sands from 1952 until 2007 when it closed. As a local anchor, the Dabuch Beach restaurant provided a comfortable place to drink a beer, or eat tasty food from the Tripoli inspired menu as well as a popular space for private beach side events looking out onto a beautiful sunset over the Mediterranean Sea. Today, the restaurant lives on in name alone.
The Dan Accadia Hotel is located just above Dabuch Beach, making this section of Herzliya’s beach a favorite for tourists. Alongside it are tennis courts as well as a number of restaurants and bars overlooking the sparkling blue water. Public parking can be easily found at Dabuch Beach. Herzliya’s City Center and the Herzliya Pituach Business District are both just minutes away from Dabuch Beach.
