Ilana Goor Museum
The Ilana Goor Museum is nestled amongst the many art galleries in the Old City of Jaffa. This unique museum features sections of the artist’s home and studio, with hundreds of her paintings and sculptures on display throughout. The building itself boasts original walls made of rock and stunning arches that date back to the city’s 4000 year old history.
The four story museum includes the Greek Monks Table Chamber, the Furniture Room, the African Collection, A Functioning Kitchen, a Library, a Knights Hall Chamber and a Guest Room – each decorated with different art by Ilana Goor herself and offering a different and unique character.
Ilana Goor is a world renowned artist skilled in working with jewelry, sculpture, furniture and clothing. Her statues are displayed throughout Israel, including at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial. Her work has been shown at art exhibitions around the world.
The Ilana Goor Museum also boasts a stunning sculpture garden on the roof of the building with views to the sea, Tel Aviv’s White City and Old Jaffa. The museum rents out this space for private events including weddings, conferences and celebratory meals. The Ilana Goor Museum staff assists in arranging music, catering and design for events with up to 120 guests.
The Ilana Goor Museum is open Sunday, Tuesday and Friday from 10am until 4pm, Saturday and Holidays from 10am until 6pm, and holiday eves from 10am until 2pm. The museum is closed on Mondays. Guided tours are available upon request.
