Nahalat Binyamin
Nahalat Binyamin is a street stretching from Allenby Road in Central Tel Aviv to Florentine Street in South Tel Aviv. Each section of the street offers different types of entertainment, food and shopping opportunities for every visiting tourist or Tel Aviv local.
The first stretch of Nahalat Binyamin, beginning at Allenby Road and parallel to the Carmel Food Market, is a pedestrian promenade filled with restaurants, cafes, endless fabric stores and a few bars. On Tuesdays and Fridays, this section of the road comes alive as the Nahalat Binyamin Artists’ Fair sets up shop in freestanding booths that line both sides of the street. All crafts sold at this fair are hand made and include everything from jewelry, pottery and dolls to paintings, Judaica and glass items. Street performers and food vendors can also be found along the street during every arts and crafts fair.
At the end of the pedestrian promenade, Nahalat Binyamin becomes a busy roadway lined with bars, restaurants and dance clubs. This area is a popular nightspot for local Israelis. Given the location close to Lilienblum Street, Rothschild Boulevard and the Neve Tzedek neighborhood, the area has positive energy and lots of people are out and about every night of the week.
The final stretch of Nahalat Binyamin is more industrial, continuing through wholesale clothing manufacturers and into the Levinsky Food Market, known for its wide variety of herbs and spices, along with cheap prices and an authentic Israeli cultural experience.
