Opera Tower Shopping Mall
The Opera Tower Shopping Mall is located at the corner of Allenby and Hayarkon Streets, across from the Jerusalem Beach and in the middle of Tel Aviv’s long pedestrian promenade. The building was constructed where Tel Aviv’s original Opera House was located. This history provided the modern structure with its name and base identical to that of its predecessor.
The Opera Tower Shopping Mall is easily accessible from many public bus routes, parking lots, Tel Aviv beaches, various youth hostels and tourist class hotels and therefore the Opera Tower Shopping Mall is a particularly popular spot on summer afternoons. Inside the building are a number of clothing shops, a movie theater, ATM, convenience stores, public bathrooms and a variety of eateries, both fast food and sit down restaurants. Second floor restaurants feature stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and the horizon, making this an ideal location for watching the sun set. Just minutes from the Opera Tower Shopping Mall are a variety of ice cream shops, cafes and ethnic restaurants, bars and Tel Aviv’s infamous Abulafia toast (Israel’s version of grilled cheese). Health and beauty spas, the local tourist center and beachside cafes are all easily accessible from the Opera Tower Shopping Mall.
Above the mall, the Opera Tower houses a residential apartment building with a private rooftop pool for residents. An underground parking lot with three parking levels is open to the public.
