Shenkin Street
For a few decades now, Shenkin Street in Central Tel Aviv has been one of the city’s most popular destinations for shopping, dining or a cup of coffee.
The street is lined with designer boutiques filled with flower and music shops, clothing boutiques with apparel for men, women and children, shoe, glasses, toy, jewelry, and specialty soap shops. Elegant cafes, historic diners, Israeli-style pizzerias, and fast food vendors are available all along Shenkin Street. Many offer European-style seating for those interested in watching the passersby. In the center of Skenkin Street is a small park constantly filled with commotion, entertainers, animal rights activists and teens.
Shenkin Street runs from the bustling corner of Allenby and King George Streets, where the Carmel Food Market and Nahalat Binyamin Artists Market end, to the posh restaurants, street performers and beautiful White City Bauhaus buildings on the famous Rothschild Boulevard.
Parking on Shenkin Street is scarce, particularly on Fridays when the street is filled with local shoppers.
