At the center of the Olive Tree Garden sits an ancient olive tree said to have provided shade for pilgrim caravans entering the Holy City of Jerusalem.  The Olive Tree Hotel was built around this legend, uniting the building's ancient character with modern, top quality facilities and hospitality.  The event facilities include the Olive Tree Garden, an idyllic space seating up to 150 guests around the ancient tree and under a glass roof.

The Oasis Bar serves both as a dairy restaurant and piano bar with an inviting atmosphere which is ideal for small receptions. The Jasmine Banquet Halls, comprise three sections. They can serve parties of up to 240 and theatre style conferences with over 400 participants.

The Shalom Salam Dining Room, used daily for serving Israeli breakfasts, tasty lunches and dinners, is also available for banquets and can seat up to 400 guests. Due to its central location and unique atmosphere, the Olive Tree Hotel acts as a setting for many interfaith meetings and conferences. The Olive Tree Hotel also features free guest parking, free wireless internet access in public spaces and hotspots in each guestroom.  The hotel gift shop sells olive wood, olive oil and other well known Holy Land products, such as Dead Sea minerals, Armenian pottery and more.

Built in 2000, all of the 304 guestrooms at the Olive Tree Hotel are equipped with modern facilities and host comfortable, stylish design. Each room features an individually controlled air conditioning unit, TV with international stations, Wi Fi internet access, a safe, a telephone with voicemail, fax and modem connection, a hairdryer and bathtub.  The hotel offers 164 double rooms with twin beds, 120 superior rooms with twin beds and a fold out sofa.  The Olive Tree Hotel also offers 6 single rooms and 5 handicapped accessible rooms with wheelchair friendly showers.  There are 5 junior suites at the Olive Tree Hotel.  The 4 suites include a bedroom, separate sitting room, Jacuzzi and 2 bathrooms. Each of the hotel's eight floors includes a number of connecting rooms.

Set within Jerusalem's American Colony, the Olive Tree Hotel's neighborhood is close to both the Old City of Jerusalem and the new, modern downtown area of Israel's capital.
