Nahariya Hotels
Nahariya situated in the far north of Israel is a vacation town established by Jewish immigrants from Germany in 1934. Nahariya is situated south of the border with Lebanon and about 25km from Haifa.The Ga’aton River runs down the center of Nahariya’s main street, Shderot Ga’aton. This shaded boulevard is lined with ancient eucalyptus trees and has an abundance of shops, al fresco cafes, restaurants, hotels and accommodation.

Just outside of Nahariya you will find the Achziv National Park and Beach. In the past this was considered to be a vital community and one of the posts on the route between Egypt and Phoenicia. There has been a Jewish presence here since the time of the Second Temple and the Crusaders constructed a citadel here.
Take time out to visit Monfort Castle, built by the French Crusaders, located between Nahariya and Ma’alot. The Kziv River which runs under the castle is 20 kilometers in length. There are many hiking routes available in the surrounding area. You will find another fortress at Yehi’am which is believed to have been constructed in the 12th century to defend the Acco-Lebanon route. Not to be missed is Rosh Hanikra which is located on the northern tip of the Mediterranean coast in Israel. A series of grottoes at the bottom of the chalk cliffs have been created over the years by the pounding of the sea.
