Welcome to Rehovot, the City of Science and Culture. Rehovot was one of Israel’s first communities, originally founded in 1890 by immigrants eager to create a center of agriculture and technology. Today, true to their vision, it is best known as home to the Weizmann Institute of Science, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Department of Agriculture and Park HaMada – the “Science Park,” an area filled with hi-tech companies.
Most Rehovot hotels are located inside Park HaMada, within close proximity of the train station that connects Rehovot to its neighboring cities in central Israel, including Tel Aviv which is just 30 minutes away. The many suburban and agricultural communities of kibbutzim and moshavim surrounding Rehovot have also produced a number of small bed and breakfasts convenient for business or travel.
